Poni (singer)

Poni is an Albanian singer from Vlorë . She sings in the Tuscan dialect and is particularly popular with the southern Albanians. She sings in pop and folk styles. She achieved her breakthrough with the song Si Trëndafil at Top Fest 4 in 2007 in Tirana .

Musical career

Poni released two albums before Top Fest 4, but they only achieved fame in Vlora. When she and Si Trëndafil took second place in the festival, this helped her breakthrough. So she released her third album Shpirtin Kam Tek Ju in 2008. So Labëri Moj Labëri and Hopa Hopa , which are part of her album, became great pop-folk summer hits in Albania and in the Albanian diaspora in Italy and Greece .

After this success she released her fourth album Fjala Ime Është Kënga in autumn 2010.
