A popcorn machine is a technical device that is used to make popcorn from corn .

history

The first commercial and large-scale popcorn machine was invented by Charles Cretors in the late 19th century. Cretors developed a peanut roaster around 1890 and discovered during further development that it could also be used in conjunction with a steam engine to produce popcorn in larger quantities. This popcorn machine was presented by Cretors at the Chicago World's Fair in 1893 . In Marion in US -State Ohio , a popcorn museum with many historic popcorn machines, among others, there is the Cretors No. 1 popcorn cart from 1899 on display.
