BBC Food is a division of the BBC , as part of BBC Online , a website with recipes provides and formerly an international commercial was cooking stations.

As the recipe for the 2000 Botham burger from Jamie Oliver increasingly gained popularity, launched BBC Food website that same year.

The BBC Food website is part of the BBC Learning division , which in turn is part of the BBC North Group . The website aims to encourage and educate people about cooking. It also aims to publish primarily recipes from TV programs, but also give original recipes in order to campaigns of public service to join.

Egg Fried Rice with Ketchup and Chicken Curry

In July 2020, a cooking video from the BBC Food website in which British-Indian presenter Hersha Patel prepared Egg Fried Rice went viral after Malaysian stand-up comedian Nigel Ng on July 8, 2020 posted a reaction video on his YouTube channel poking fun at their cooking methods. The reaction video has more than 7 million views on YouTube and almost 40 million views on Twitter (as of July 30, 2020). Jessie Yeung, who works as a digital producer for CNN Digital Worldwide in Hong Kong , describes the resulting controversy over the video as follows:

The television channel started in June 2002 and was mainly receivable in southern Africa and some parts of Scandinavia . Well-known chefs who appeared on the TV station were:

The broadcasting deadline in Africa was in September 2008 and in Scandinavia in December 2008. Then the television channel was replaced by the broadcaster BBC Lifestyle .
