Madhur Jaffrey CBE मधुर जाफ़री (born: Madhur Bahadur , born August 13, 1933 in Civil Lines , Delhi , British India ) is an Indian author , actress and cook .

Life

Jaffrey was born in British India in 1933 , where she lived until 1955 and then moved to London . From 1958 she lived in New York and began her acting career, her greatest success she had in 1965 with Shakespeare Wallah . From 1982 she started her cooking show Madhur Jaffrey's Indian Cookery and published several dozen cookbooks.
