Postman Pat (in the English original Postman Pat ) is a British stop-motion animated series for children. Primarily aimed at preschoolers, this series focuses on the postman Pat Clifton, who lives in the fictional village of Greendale.

In each episode, the postman Pat Clifton and his cat Jess are stopped by one of the residents in Greendale while they are delivering their letters to help with their problems. Later, every time Pat Clifton gets particularly difficult shipments for delivery, such as a giant ice cube.
Production and publication
The series was produced by Woodland Animations and directed by Ivor Wood. The script was written by John Cuncliffe and the music is by Brian Daly and Simon Woodgate. Ken Barrie spoke the narrator. It was first broadcast on September 16, 1981 on BBC1 . A second version of the series was broadcast from 2004.
The series was also released on DVD and was broadcast in Japan and the Netherlands, among others. From May 8, 2006 to June 6, 2006, ORF Eins broadcast the German version for the first time. This was followed by broadcasts by Super RTL , Junior and Premiere .
A video game for the series was published in 1989 by the publisher Alternative Software for home computers popular at the time.
