Postcard records

Postcard Records is an Independent - record label based in the Scottish Glasgow . It was founded in 1979 by Alan Horne. Although Postcard only released 12 singles and one LP in the 1980s, it is now considered one of the style-defining labels of the early 1980s.

The first single released was "Falling and Laughing" by Orange Juice . Bands like Josef K , Aztec Camera and the Australian Go-Betweens released on the label . In 1981 Postcard went bankrupt. Horne brought Postcard back to life in 1992 and has been publishing records on an irregular basis since then.
