science
Postidentity is used in an interdisciplinary manner in the (social) scientific context, especially in gender studies and linguistics . Like post-colonialism, it is treated as an achievement of post-structuralism. Above all, it is about anticipating the essentialism of a certain group and the associated normative inclusion and exclusion criteria.
politics
Newer political movements, such as parts of the new left , but especially the anti-globalization movement , from the Occupy movement to Anonymous, can be described as postidentitarian , as they no longer claim to represent certain social classes, regions or interest groups.
