Pote tha kani Xasteria ( Greek Πότε θα κάνει ξαστεριά; When will the sky be clear? ) Is a Cretan hymn that the peasants sang in the revolt against the Ottoman occupation. The simple text is about a man getting his rifle and shooting the enemy. The Omalos Chanion plateau is said to derive its name from the song.

Nikos Xylouris became famous for the song, which also played a role in the fight against the dictatorship (1973).
