Power harassment (lit. "power harassment") is a form of abuse of power and bullying mainly in companies and at universities . A superior uses a power imbalance to humiliate a subordinate personally, for example through insults, freaking out, exposing colleagues, being forced to participate in non-business events, or demanding activities outside of the actual area of responsibility for which the employee is clearly overqualified.
