The presidential elections in South Sudan 2010 took place from April 11 to 15, 2010 and were the first ever presidential elections in the still autonomous South Sudan , which is striving for independence . They were held at the same time as the elections for the President of the State of Sudan and the election of the governors of the ten South Sudanese states .
