The Praia de Ofir is a sandy beach on the Atlantic coast in the Portuguese Freguesia Fão (northern Portugal).

The beach is located south of the mouth of the Cávado in the Litoral de Esposende nature reserve . It is surrounded by dunes and pine forests . A natural peculiarity are rocks that emerge from the sea at low tide and are popularly known as Cavalos de Fão (horses of Fão) because of their shape .

Due to its geographical situation as a peninsula with an open Atlantic coast on one side of the strip of land and the Esposende lagoon on the inner coast, Ofir is popular with surfers and kite surfers. Surfing is best at the pier directly in front of the three high-rise buildings, and kitesurfing at the northeastern tip of the headland in the delta of the Rio Cavado at the transition to the Esposende lagoon.

The name of the beach is derived from the legendary gold country Ophir , which is mentioned in several places in the Old Testament of the Bible . King Solomon is said to have got his gold from there.
