The Predigerseminar Nürnberg is an institution of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria , which is responsible for the second, practical training phase ( vicariate ) of prospective pastors.

It was founded in 1922 by Bishop Hans Meiser and others. Meiser, who later became the bishop of the Bavarian regional church, was also the first rector. After the closure of the preacher's seminars in Munich, Neuendettelsau and Bayreuth, the Nuremberg preacher's seminar is the only such training facility of the Bavarian State Church. Church service, school lessons, pastoral care, catechetics and church leadership are the central contents of this training. The practical experience in the vicariate community is also accompanied by mentors. In the seminar for preachers, the learning processes are then reflected upon, pastoral protocols are evaluated and videos of church services and lessons are discussed. At the end of the training, suitability for the pastor's profession is determined by the seminary (approx. 91% in 2007) or the vicar is not recommended for acceptance. Approx. 120 vicars (duration of training 2.5 years / approx. 25–20 per half-year) are trained and accompanied by this seminar.

The current rector is Manacnuc Lichtenfeld, previously pastor in Aschaffenburg.
