Press office

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In a press office , one or more people work as a journalist , usually as freelance, i.e. non-permanent journalists (in contrast to press agencies ). In Germany, press offices are mostly organized as GmbH or GbR. If journalistic services are provided, those involved in a press office work as freelancers. If the focus is on other services (such as public relations ), the activity in Germany is classified as commercial, which requires a business registration . Most press offices work both as a journalist by delivering text, film and radio contributions to editorial offices, and in the PR area by advising companies and associations and writing press releases for them or creating press distribution lists.
