Premorbid personality

The premorbid personality ( Latin pre "before"; morbus "illness") is also called the primary personality . It describes the personality structure before the first occurrence of a mental disorder. In a narrower sense, the premorbid personality describes vulnerability and risk factors or protective factors that influence the development and course of certain mental disorders or diseases.
