The Prior Cliff is a 1000 to 1200 m high cliff in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . In the Churchill Mountains it rises east-northeast of Mount Dick .
The New Zealand Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 2003 after Stuart Prior of the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, who had played an active role in the fight against illegal fishing in sub-Antarctic waters for several years .
