André Aisenstadt Prize
The André Aisenstadt Prize is a prize from the Center de Recherches Mathématiques (CRM) at the University of Montreal for young Canadian mathematicians. It is endowed with $ 3,000.
André Aisenstadt (1912-2001) was the founder of CRM and the Jewish hospital in Montreal. He came from Russia, was Albert Einstein's assistant in Zurich and came to Montreal in 1939, where he founded a mortgage bank. As a philanthropist , he also promoted the musical life in Canada.
