ProVeg-Magazin is the membership magazine of ProVeg Germany .
history
The magazine has been published since 1950. It was initially called Sei Mensch: Reflection, Recognition, Contemplation, Action. Notifications from the Vegetarian Union Germany e. V. In 1954 it was renamed The New Man . From 1956 the magazine appeared under the title: The Vegetarian: magazine for ethical lifestyle, vegetarianism and life reform . From 1999 to summer 2015 she was naturally vegetarian under the name . The VEBU magazine published. Until then it was available in newsagents. After available in newsagents. Then it was called VEBU-Magazin , following the old club name VEBU . After the association was renamed in April 2017, the name of the magazine was also adjusted.

Frequency of publication
The magazine used to be available through magazine dealers. Today the subscription to the magazine is included in the membership of ProVeg. The magazine is aimed at members of the association who are vegetarian and vegan.
The magazine, printed on recycled paper, is now published every six months with a circulation of 15,000 copies and a reach of 50,000 to 70,000 readers.
Content
The main focus is on health , nutrition , animal welfare , the environment , fashion and cosmetics . Book reviews and recipes as well as a calendar of events are also offered.
