Pro Patria Schweizerische Bundesfeierspende is a non-profit Swiss foundation that is primarily financed through the sale of Pro Patria stamps with a premium and the sale of 1 August badges. The financial resources are primarily used to support cultural preservation projects, but also for social purposes. From the year 2000 alone, 2500 projects were financed according to the company's own information.

history

The Pro Patria Foundation emerged from the Association of the Swiss Federal Celebration Committee , founded in 1909 . Since 1910, collections have been carried out in favor of social and cultural works of national importance. The August 1st badges have been sold since 1923.
