Product clinic refers to a concept developed by Horst Wildemann for a cross-functional, institutionalized learning location. The aim is to increase customer benefit by improving processes and products in an economic company. Here, products and processes are analyzed and the best solutions are applied to the company's own products and processes through reverse engineering . The classic learning concepts of company visits, job changes, teams of experts and institutionalized further training are brought together in the product clinic.

In market research , the term describes a test concept for determining consumer wishes. Information on products or services - or their / their "accessories" - should be obtained using qualitative and quantitative analyzes in order to be able to develop them successfully or to be able to launch them on the market.
