Proexistence

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The pro-existence , even pro-existence ( Latin per existentia "for life"), the basic referred attitude of a person , for God and the people to live. In Christian theology , this description is particularly true of Jesus Christ .

Proexistence therefore means the life given by God by grace for others . Because God himself revealed himself in Jesus Christ as "God for us" by giving his life as an atoning sacrifice on the cross after the incarnation and by being resurrected from the dead ( 1 Cor 15 : 3-4 EU ), especially  so to redeem people bent over themselves ( homo incurvatus in se ) from their guilt as a result of sin on themselves (cf. Jn 3:16  EU ).

According to the definition of Pope Benedict XVI. The term pro-existence also describes life as a Christian in general and the associated humble commitment to fellow human beings ( charity ) and the common good .
