Profile and Franconia Notch Railroad

The Profile and Franconia Notch Railroad is a former railroad company in New Hampshire ( United States ). It was founded on 11 July 1878, built one of the White Mountains Railroad branching path of Bethlehem Junction to profile House . The 16-kilometer route was put into operation in 1879. The track width chosen was three feet (914 mm). In 1881 another line was built from Bethlehem Junction to the small town of Bethlehem . Both routes were only in operation in the summer months.

In 1893 the company was taken over by the Concord and Montreal Railroad . Both routes were later re-gauged and closed in the 1920s.
