Profile comb
A profile comb is an auxiliary instrument for capturing and tracing contours, which is used, among other things, in archeology . To capture the shape, the comb is pressed with its movable metal teeth against the object, whereby its outer shape is reflected in the position of the teeth. Then the shape can be transferred to paper.
