Progressive music

Progressive music (see progressivity ) or English progressive music ("progressive, progressive") is a general term for different music genres :

  • Progressive House : a genre of music from Great Britain, which is composed of elements of deep house, trance, tribal house and tech house
  • Progressive Jazz : a supposed style of jazz from the late 1940s and early 1950s
  • Progressive Metal , also Prog Metal or Technical Metal : a stylistic synthesis of the music styles Heavy Metal, Progressive Rock and Psychedelic Rock
  • Progressive rock , also rock or prog rock : music direction from the late 1960s on from popular genres such as pop music, rock music, blues or rock 'n' roll, supplemented by stylistic features of other musical genres
  • Progressive Techno : with a progressive structure of the individual tracks
  • Progressive trance : successive build-up of the compositions
