The Project for Democratic Union (PDU) is a European think tank in Munich that advocates full political integration of the Eurozone .

aims

The think tank pursues the goal of a complete political unification of the Eurozone on an Anglo-American constitutional basis. All employees are volunteers with different origins and professional backgrounds. The main target audience for the organization are students, young academics and young professionals.

history

PDU was founded in January 2013 in Munich. Mainly students and young academics are involved in this organization, which is based in London as well as in Munich. Its 1st chairman and co-founder is Brendan Simms , Professor of the History of International Relations at Cambridge University . The organization has its origins in the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and is currently based in Munich and London.

Statement of Principles

The PDU has specified its goals in the so-called "Statement of Principles". They deal with all the fundamental questions that have to be resolved when the euro zone is federalized.
