The group of substances of the Promazine (R = hydrogen, chlorine, methoxy group or acetyl group).

Promazines are a group of substances in organic chemistry and at the same time pharmaceutically important derivatives of dimethylaminopropylphenothiazine. The main body of Promazine is Promazine (R = H), which is used as a sedative. Chlorpromazine (R = Cl) is more effective . It is manufactured industrially from 3-chlorophenolthiazine and dimethylaminopropyl chloride and is used as a neuroleptic , anesthetic and anesthetic aid. Methopromazine (R = methoxy group ) and acetopromazine (R = acetyl group ) show similar pharmacological effects .
