A Moscow branch of Promsvyazbank

The promsvyazbank ( Russian Промсвязьбанк ) is a Russian bank , which primarily serves the middle class. It belongs to the group of companies of the brothers Dimitri and Alexei Ananyev.

The promsvyazbank is a Russian joint stock company (Joint Stock Company):

  • 50.034 percent are held by Promswjas Capital BV (Netherlands)
of the brothers Dimitri and Alexej Ananyev

Promsvyazbank was founded in 1995. As of July 1, 2006, assets were 130.8 billion rubles and equity was 13.8 billion rubles. The stock control package belongs to the Ananyev brothers; they were or are still active in other sectors (IT, mass media, insurance, industry and real estate). In September 2006 the bank was authorized to issue shares in favor of the German Commerzbank, after which Commerzbank held 15.32 percent of the shares. She sold them in 2012, in time for a ruble crisis to begin.

In mid-2006, Promswjasbank was the twelfth largest bank in Russia. At that time it had around 4,000 employees and 115 branches.
