Protestantism in Cuba

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The supporters of Protestantism in Cuba form a small minority of over 100,000 people.

They comprise a few percent of the country's population. Before Fidel Castro came to power in 1959, Protestantism was a tiny minority. Protestant services are now attended by hundreds of thousands. The Episcopal Church of Cuba comprises only a minority of the country's Protestants. Free churches, on the other hand, make up the majority of Protestants in Cuba. The religious freedom in Cuba has changed since the end of the Soviet Union increased.
