Provokant ( spelling : PROVOkant ) was a German interview magazine. She dealt with socio-political issues and wanted to promote a cultural and tolerant dialogue between lateral thinkers and those who think differently. The magazine is aimed at readers who are interested in alternative ways of thinking and finding solutions in social life.

history

Provokant first appeared on the German magazine market in 2007. The name Provokant was intended to clarify the philosophy of the publication: to be provocative in the sense of the topics and questions addressed and at the same time, as suggested by the philosopher Kant , to devote oneself to society and its change. Provokant was last published in autumn 2009, after which the magazine was discontinued.

Frequency of publication

The magazine appeared quarterly. The edition was 12,000 copies. On the website of the magazine one could read the texts of all issues published so far. Since the first issue in 2008 Provokant has appeared with the constant supplement “Cancer as a Chance”. This supplement was the membership magazine of the association “Krebs 21 eV” (formerly “Menschen gegen Krebs eV”).
