The Medical-Psychosomatic Clinic Bad Bramstedt ("Schön Klinik Bad Bramstedt") is a clinic for psychosomatic and mental illnesses in Bad Bramstedt . It has 400 beds and employs 300 people. About 3200 patients are treated annually. This makes the Schön Klinik Bad Bramstedt one of the largest psychosomatic clinics in Germany.

The Institute for Behavioral Therapy and Psychotherapeutic Medicine (IVPM) is attached to the clinic as a training center for psychotherapy. There are collaborations with the University of Hamburg and the University of Lübeck .

history

The Medical-Psychosomatic Clinic Bad Bramstedt was opened on November 1st, 1993 with 271 beds as a treatment center for psychosomatic and mental illnesses. Within the following 12 months, wards with specific treatment focuses were set up. In 1998 the clinic was expanded so that from that point in time the clinic had treatment options for a total of 318 patients. In November 2000, the Institute for Behavioral Therapy and Psychotherapeutic Medicine (IVPM) at the Medical-Psychosomatic Clinic Bad Bramstedt was recognized by the State of Schleswig-Holstein as a training center for psychotherapy. With the new building in 2004, rooms were created for pre-hospital treatment and for another ward. There are currently 17 wards with 400 beds for hospital treatment and rehabilitation.

Treatment priorities

The clinic works according to an integrative behavioral medical treatment concept.

The work focuses on the treatment of anxiety disorders , ADHD with persistence in adulthood, burnout , chronic pain disorders , depression of various origins, eating disorders , personality disorders , posttraumatic stress disorders , somatoform disorders , social anxiety disorders and obsessive-compulsive disorder .
