Publius Campanius Italicus

Publius Campanius Italicus was a member of the Roman knighthood ( Eques ) living in the 2nd century AD .

A dedicatory inscription that was found at the Blatobulgium fort and that is dated 158/161 shows that Italicus was prefect of the Cohors II Tungrorum , which was stationed in the province of Britannia . The inscription was made by his freedman Celer .
