A Puskesmas Pembantu ( Pustu , literally German  auxiliary puskesmas ) is a medical care center in Indonesia . Below the Puskesmas it forms the second level of the state's municipal health system (Puskesmas service network) . Within a district the Puskesmas Pembantu help the Pembantu with the medical care of the population in the geographical latitude. The permanent centers are supplied from the central Puskesmas. As a rule, one Puskesmas Pembantu supplies two to three villages .

function

The Puskesmas Pembantu supports the Puskesmas as an integral part of the Puskesmas system in its activities in its work area. The Puskesmas Pembantu improve the accessibility to basic services for the population by fully covering the entire area in large districts. The aim is to enable the poor population to receive health services without having to use expensive means of transport over long distances. The aid centers support the introduction of health services, the implementation of Posyandu activities ( Pos Pelayanan Terpadu , a program to improve the health of children), vaccination campaigns, health education and surveillance, public health strengthening , advertising and prevention services and others. Although its performance is below a puskesmas, the puskesmas Pembantu is often the only quickly accessible medical help for the sick.

Management, staff and control

A nurse or midwife, who is appointed by the management of the health department, at the suggestion of the head of the puskesma, is responsible for managing a Pembantu push. The minimum staffing of a Puskesma Pembantu consists of a nurse and a midwife. The facility is adapted to the respective requirements of the location, the building, the infrastructure, the equipment and the personnel. Buildings and infrastructure are regularly serviced and checked by the district to maintain their functionality.

The rating system has four levels. The Puskesmas Pembantu is rated as “good” (Baik) if it is in good condition. In centers rated as “slightly damaged” (Rusak Ringan) , damage to doors, windows including glass, locks and their hangers or wall painting of the Puskesma Pembantu can occur. If the main components of the building are badly damaged, for example on pillars, foundations or walls, the Puskesmas Pembantu is considered "badly damaged" (Rusak Berat) . Only when the building of Puskesma Pembantu can no longer be used is it considered a "total loss" (Rusak Total) .
