The Pyongyang or Pyongyang Touch (평양 직할시 터치) is a smartphone that was launched in North Korea in 2014 and is probably produced by the Chinese company Uniscope . It is named after the country's capital, Pyongyang . Not much is known about the technical data; a modified Android is used as the operating system . Outwardly, it is similar to the IPhone 3G . It is available in the colors white , pink and blue . Since most of the population in North Korea is denied access to the Internet, only access to the Kwangmyong intranet is available . It is said to be particularly popular with the younger population.

According to the North Korean media, Kim Jong-un was enthusiastic and praised the developers for “creative ingenuity and patriotic enthusiasm” and that it was nice to be able to produce such devices with their own technology. Shapes and colors should be used that people like.
