With the help of a square grid or squaring , a design drawing can be transferred to scale onto the final medium. For this purpose, the design and the target medium are provided with square grids made of horizontal and vertical lines so that the resulting fields can be transferred to scale more easily. Depending on the selected scale , a reduction or enlargement can be achieved.
