Quality engineering

Education
The “Quality Engineering ” master’s course, which is a postgraduate course leading to a Master of Science degree (four semesters), was accredited for the first time in 2005 by the accreditation agency for courses in engineering, computer science, natural sciences and mathematics eV (ASIIN) Successfully reaccredited for another five years in 2012. The course management is incumbent on the product safety and quality management department of the Bergische Universität Wuppertal. The Master of Science is an academic engineering degree. The degree opens up the possibility of a doctorate (Dr.-Ing., Doctor-Engineer or Dr. rer. Sec., Doctor rerum securitatis ).

The fields of activity of the quality engineer can be found, for example, in the automotive industry, the energy industry, the construction industry, mechanical engineering or the supplier industry. There are opportunities to work as a quality planner, customer and supplier advisor, test equipment planner or quality representative in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001 ff. Or a combined representative for integrated management systems (IMS).
