Quality plan

A quality plan is in project management , a document in which the measures for constructive quality assurance (eg development guidelines) and analytical quality assurance (review, for example, test or) concrete planning for a project. The type of measures depends on the respective project product (project result). Depending on the size of the project, a special quality manager is responsible for developing and coordinating the quality plan as well as controlling the execution of the quality assurance measures.

The quality plan is based on the specifications and requirements specification. There the properties of the service to be provided or the product to be manufactured are specified.

There is some overlap between the project plan and the quality plan, depending on the type of project management. It is the task of the quality manager in the project to ensure the quality of processes and project results.

An example of a quality plan is the listing of the fulfillment of customer requirements for Quality Function Deployment .
