The puzzle game and sliding puzzle Quo Vadis (starting position)

Quo Vadis ( Latin for 'where are you going?') Is a challenging puzzle game and wooden sliding puzzle for one player. It was published by HABA in 1984 (game number 2480). After the game was taken out of the range in 2005, it was sold again from 2008 to 2010 as Lucifix No. 2 - Devil's Labyrinth (game number 2513).

Gameplay

The game consists of a game board with 4 × 5 fields, a red 2 × 2 token ( called the " little devil" in the version Luzifix No. 2 ) and four 1 × 1 tokens and five 1 × 2 tokens. First of all, the pieces are placed on the playing field as indicated in the instructions (starting position, see illustration). The task now is to maneuver the red token towards the (only) exit by shunting the tokens (below in the picture). Since only two fields on the field at any time not occupied, each game piece can always be moved horizontally or vertically. No piece may skip another. If the red token can leave the board through the exit, the task is solved. The other "blocking" pieces are not allowed to leave the playing field.

Quo Vadis promotes - in addition to the ability to concentrate - logical, in particular recursive thinking and problem-solving skills . The guide also contains a solution. It has 101 moves if you count every move of a piece as a move.
