Quota (stock exchange)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As quota simultaneous points of a binding is bid and ask price (buying and selling price) for a given number of securities by an operator on a stock exchange referred.

backgrounds

One example is the simultaneous entry of a limited buy and sell order in XETRA . This is set in particular by the market maker and designated sponsor in order to guarantee liquidity in the market. Quotes are only valid on a daily basis in Xetra, but the price limit and volume can be changed during the period of entry.

The product of the binding price and the number of units is referred to as the quotation volume. Many exchanges have set a so-called (minimum) standstill volume or minimum quote volume, to which the market makers are obliged to provide binding quotes at the request of another market participant.
