Ründsel was a small Prussian grain measure . The measure was the size of a quarter and could fluctuate because the painting was dependent on the type of grain. In general, the measure was measured in strokes.

In the dimensional chain from Malter downwards, the following applied

  • 1 Malter = 6 barrels = 24 heads = 96 bundles
  • 1 bundle = 1.54446 liters
