RG-31 is an armored vehicle developed for military purposes by the South African company Land Systems OMS and is used by a large number of countries and by the United Nations . The RG-33 was developed on the basis of the RG-31 .
technical description
The RG-31 "Nyala" belongs to the group of MRAPs and has protection against land mines, IEDs and fire from infantry weapons. As a rule, it is equipped with a remote-controlled weapon station in the caliber 7.62 × 51 mm NATO or 12.7 × 99 mm NATO .
