RICEFW

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

RICEFW is used as a technical term for a class of objects when introducing corporate software (in particular e.g. SAP ERP ). It stands for "Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms and Workflow".

  • Reports: reports, d. H. Evaluations from the system. Often the term is not translated.
  • Interfaces: interfaces to external systems
  • Conversions: Conversion between different data formats, e.g. E.g. for migrations or as part of the interfaces (e.g. CSV to XML format according to defined rules)
  • Enhancements: Enhancements to the company software (beyond customizing )
  • Forms: "Forms" - here as forms printed by the company software, e.g. B. Orders
  • Workflow: see workflow management

In a project for the introduction of corporate software, these objects describe those objects that cannot be created or can only be created to a limited extent via customizing , but have to be specified and developed separately.

As a special form of "enhancements", "modifications" are often listed that not only expand the existing programming in the standard software, but also change them.
