RS-82

The RS-82 and RS-132 ( Russian PC-82 for Reaktiwny Snarjad, Russian Реактивный Снаряд ) were unguided air-to-surface missiles of the Soviet Union from the time of the Second World War . The RS-82 had a maximum range of 5.2 km and a caliber of 82 mm. The length was 627 mm, the curb weight 5.76 kg, the fuel mass 1.06 kg and the total mass was 6.82 kg. The RS-132 had a caliber of 132 mm and a length of 935 mm.

It was used primarily as an offensive armament variant for the attack aircraft IL-2 , IL-10 and the I-16 to combat ground targets. It was developed between 1929 and 1937. The first use took place on August 20, 1939 in the Battle of Chalchin Gol in the air-to-air variant . The armor-piercing version was called BRS-82 and was 1035 mm long. The accuracy of the gun was poor.
