Hella RTK 3-SL with attached Hella KLJ80 rotating beacon

With RTK is Rundumtonkombination , an integrated special signaling system of the company Hella , abbreviated.

Series production of the RTK 3 began in 1978. The special signal system consisted of a metal / plastic box in which three 35 watt loudspeakers (two towards the front, one towards the rear) and the control unit were installed. The RTK 3 was also sold with an attached rotating beacon.

The control unit generates the known special signal electronically; However, this is only emitted if the rotating beacon is switched on at the same time.

The loudspeakers (via a power isolator) and the blue light are connected to the control unit . A radio , tape recorder, radio or microphone can also be connected. With an additional switch unit it is possible, among other things, to broadcast announcements, incoming radio or tape playback to the outside via the loudspeakers.

In 1983 the variant “city-country”, or “SL” for short, was added. The production of the RTK 3-SL was discontinued with the start of the RTK 4-SL production in 1986.

The perforated sheets at the front and rear were available in different versions that can be assigned to the year of construction. The RTK 3 was available in different colors.
