Raúl Vallejo
César Raúl Enrique Vallejo Corral (born June 28, 1959 in Manta ) is an Ecuadorian writer , politician and intellectual . He is the current Minister of Education in Ecuador.
Life
Raúl Vallejo studied philology at the Universidad Católica de Guayaquil and obtained a Masters of Arts from the University of Maryland , College Park with a Fulbright Laspau scholarship . He has published a number of short stories and essays. From 1991 to 1992 he was Minister of Education in the government of Rodrigo Borja and has been again since 2005. From 1992 to 2000 he was Rector of the Liceo Internacional . He is the editor of the literary magazine Kipus , co-editor of the daily El Comercio and professor at the Universidad Andina Simón Bolivar .
