Rachel Renée Russell (born in St. Joseph , Michigan ) is an American youth author .

Life

Russell is a lawyer and the mother of two grown children. Since her divorce in 2009 she has been writing books for children and young people. Your series is about Nikki Maxwell trying to get by in middle school . Russell has two daughters, Nikki and Erin. Both work for her.

With her “DORK Diaries” series, she has sold over five million books (as of 2012).
