Radiant is a free content management system for the (collaborative) creation of websites that is based on the Ruby On Rails web framework . A port to PHP has existed since January 2007 .

The user interface has three core components: Pages, Snippets, and Layouts. Pages contain the content to be published and can consist of different parts, such as a sidebar . Content that is to be displayed in different locations can be saved as a snippet . Layouts determine the exact structure of a website.

Radiant also has its own macro language, the Radius Template Language , which can be used, for example, to embed content in a website or to display content depending on the conditions.
