Hearing radiation

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

When acoustic radiation ( radiotherapy Acustica ) refers to a projection path in the brain that the end of the auditory pathway represents. These are axons that come from the corpus geniculatum mediale of the thalamus and that form the fourth neuron of the auditory pathway. These axons run through the sublentiform part of the internal capsule to the transverse temporal gyri (Heschl transverse turns ), which represent the primary auditory cortex .
