Radio Ave Maria

Radio Ave Maria (RAM) is a Roman Catholic radio broadcaster in Burkina Faso . He belongs to the World Family of Radio Maria , the worldwide network of Catholic radio stations.

The station broadcast on December 12, 1993 under the name Radio Partage for the first time, which was later changed to Radio Maria on the occasion of a partnership with Radio Maria in Italy . Since 2005 the station has been called Radio Ave Maria . The goals include proselytizing and educating the population in questions of family, youth and health. The director is the clergyman Henri Zongo, Joseph Kinda is one of the former directors. Since 2009 the station has been taken over by the local diocese as the carrier.

The station is located in the avenue de la Cathédrale near the cathedral of Ouagadougou .

The program focuses on biblical interpretations and prayer broadcasts, both as live broadcasts and as recordings. The station itself describes its program goals as follows: "Religious, cultural, economic and social education and information via radio in the spirit of the world family of Radio Maria and the official teaching of the Catholic Church."

distribution

The transmitter has an FM frequency of 91.6 MHz in Ouagadougou / Kadiogo . The frequency was later put out of service.
