Radio Tirana 2

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Radio Tirana 2 is the second program of the Albanian broadcaster Radio Televizioni Shqiptar . Under the motto “Dua muzikë shqip” (I love Albanian music) , only Albanian music is broadcast on the station today. It doesn't matter whether it's traditional or modern Albanian music. Individual discussion programs are aimed at a younger audience.

The station was founded in June 1986 as the "Second Program of Radio Tirana". It was an entertainment program with a lot of music, short news and reports. In October 2003 the five-hour program was expanded to include non-stop broadcasting and renamed Radio Tirana 2 . With young journalists and DJs, young listeners were to be won over to Albania's public broadcasting service. Its program was distinguished from the older radio station, Radio Tirana 1 , by a higher music content and a looser processing of the news .

Radio Tirana 2 can be received on the frequency 95.8 MHz.
