The Raggruppamento Operativo Speciale or ROS for short is a police unit of the Italian Carabinieri . She is responsible for investigations in the area of organized crime . The unit is based in Rome and was founded on December 3, 1990.

• State protection (politically motivated crimes)
• Organized Crime ( Mafia )
• Analysis department ( criminological research )
• Drug trafficking and kidnapping
• Technical department ( electronic reconnaissance )
