Rahel Dreyer

Rahel Dreyer (* approx. 1978) is a German educator with a focus on early childhood. She teaches as a professor at the Alice Salomon University in Berlin .

Career

Dreyer studied education, psychology and sociology at the universities of Bamberg, Paris and Cologne. She then worked in early childhood education and family-related educational work.

She did her doctorate in 2009 at the University of Cologne on early childhood education, care and upbringing and the training of educational staff in Germany and France.

In 2010 she took up the Fröbel endowed professorship at the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences in Berlin for “Upbringing and Education in Childhood”.

Personal

Rahel Dreyer has been married to Martin Dreyer since 2002 and has two children.

Memberships

Dreyer is a board member of the Federal Association for Education and Upbringing in Childhood. V. and member of the commission “Pedagogy of early childhood” of the German Society for Educational Sciences (DGfE).
